Certification of Official Results & Automated Independent Audit (Primary Election)

August 25 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Unless modified after notice by the Canvassing Board

The Canvassing Board will convene to:

  • Canvass and tabulate any outstanding ballot issues (e.g., cures)*
  • Certify official election results and submit to the State (due by noon on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, pursuant to § 102.112, F.S.)
  • Conduct automated, independent audit of all precincts involved in the election (unless a manual recount was conducted**)

Public Comment

Public Comment Request forms to be submitted prior to the meeting being called to order.

The Canvassing Board Public Comment Request form shall be used for requesting appearances before the Orange County Canvassing Board. Note: Appearances are limited to three (3) minutes at the beginning of the meeting. Please bring the Public Comment Request Form (PDF) to the meeting along with any corresponding attachments.

*      The canvassing of any ballots includes the review and determination, as necessary, of any challenges, ballot duplication issues, voter intent, or other ballot issues requiring Canvassing Board consideration/review. Additionally, the Canvassing Board may also discuss, review, and handle any other matters pertaining to the Election.

**    If a manual recount is conducted, then the audit on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, will not be performed per § 101.591, F.S.
