We’ve compiled answers to many of the most common questions voters ask to help you quickly find clear, reliable election information from the Orange County Supervisor of Elections office.
You must bring photo and signature identification.
Early voting sites and hours vary from election to election. On Election Day, polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and you must vote at your assigned polling place.
On Election Day, if you’re in line at 7 p.m. at your assigned polling place, stay in line. You can still vote.
When registering to vote, choosing a party affiliation is optional. If you do not choose a party affiliation, you will be registered with no party affiliation (NPA). The deadline to change your party affiliation is 29 days before any primary election.
Florida is a closed primary state. If you want to vote in a partisan primary, you must be registered with that particular party affiliation (Chapter 101.021, Florida Statutes). All registered voters, regardless of party affiliation, can vote on issues and nonpartisan races.

Vote-by-mail requests expire after each federal general election cycle. To continue to receive vote-by-mail ballots, you must submit a new vote-by-mail request each general election cycle, which is every two years.

Early voting begins 10 – 15 days before an election. Note the locations, dates, and hours of operation vary.
- Be a registered voter in Orange County.
- Attend a mandatory training class before each election (minimum of 3 hours).
- Be available to work a minimum of 14 hours on Election Day.
- Be willing to represent our office well in public.
- Perform all duties for your position as assigned.
